Black Oak Hardwood Sample

Order a Black Oak sample to judge the depth of it. Black Oak is deep and earthy with a pronounced open texture, and it reads very differently under warm light than under daylight — a sample by the window and again by a lamp will tell you more than any photograph.

It is the darkest of our oaks without being a stain, so the colour goes all the way through and a scratch does not show pale wood underneath. Cut from the same kiln-dried boards we build with and finished in our standard zero-VOC hardwax oil.
