Solid hardwood dining tables, sized to your room

Every dining table here is solid hardwood built to order in our Farmingdale, NY shop — walnut, white oak, maple, cherry, and eleven more species, round or rectangular, cut to your exact size. Tops run 1.5 to 2 inches thick as standard, on pedestal or leg bases, with every board hand-picked and grain-matched before glue-up.

Rectangles price live in the Builder by length, width, and thickness; rounds are cut from a square blank, which is why diameter drives the price — the full math is in our round table top guide. Finished tables deliver white-glove locally on Long Island and NYC, and ship crated freight with lift-gate delivery included across the continental US.

Questions

Why Choose a Hardtwood Dining Table?

Every dining table we build starts as a specific plank of American hardwood, chosen for grain and colour, and is milled to the exact size of your room rather than to a catalogue size. Walnut, white oak, maple and more, in round or rectangular, with the price shown live in the Builder as you change the dimensions.

Tops are solid all the way through — never veneer over particleboard — and finished by hand in 100% zero-VOC hardwax oil that is food-safe and repairable in place. Bases can come from us or from your own maker; we drill and supply the fixings either way.

Built in Farmingdale, New York and crated for delivery nationwide.

What size round table seats six?
A 48-inch round seats six at about 24 inches of edge per place, though a 54-inch top gives everyone elbow room. Keep 36 inches of clear floor from the table edge to the nearest wall so chairs pull out — subtract roughly 78 inches from the room's narrow dimension and that's your maximum diameter.
How thick should a solid wood dining table top be?
1.5 inches is the standard we build most dining tables at — substantial next to the base without unnecessary weight. Go 1.75 to 2 inches on tops over 60 inches, or whenever the top sits on a single pedestal and you want a heavier edge. Solid glued-up hardwood at these thicknesses does not sag.
Do you make the base too?
Most of what we ship is the top, sized to a base you own or one you're buying — with fastening guidance so the top can move seasonally. For full builds, pedestal and trestle bases in the same wood are quoted per project; send us the design and we'll price it.
How is a dining table delivered?
White-glove locally across Long Island and NYC, coordinated to your schedule. Nationwide, tables ship crated on a pallet via freight with lift-gate delivery included in the continental US — tracking and simple receiving guidelines arrive before the truck does.
Do you take on custom or one-off projects?
Yes. Beyond the online builder, we take on custom sizes, oversized pieces, matched commercial runs, and bespoke solid-hardwood millwork. Tell us what you have in mind and we’ll quote it by hand, usually within one business day. Start a custom project ›
