Founded in 2017, Hardtwood is a specialized wood manufacturing firm based in New York, USA.
We design and produce custom solid wood furniture, with a focus on high-utilization surfaces such as tabletops, worktops, and architectural shelving.
All operations are centralized in our production facility, where we control milling, assembly, finishing, and logistics. We do not outsource manufacturing. Products are built to order and shipped nationwide to residential and commercial clients.
What Makes Hardtwood Different
Solid Hardwoods
Hardtwood does not manufacture mass-market furniture. We do not use veneers, MDF, particle board, or composite materials. Every component leaving our facility is constructed from 100% solid hardwood.
By building exclusively to order, every piece is milled from the same lumber lot, providing color consistency and structural harmony.
Craft With Intent
Every piece is built by experienced craftsmen. Surfaces are milled, joined, sanded, and finished in-house, with each stage inspected before moving forward. We prioritize structural integrity, clean joinery, and consistent tolerances over speed or volume.
Nothing leaves the shop without passing a final inspection for fit, finish, and dimensional accuracy.
In-House Control
Our facility integrates industrial CNC precision with traditional joinery. We control the moisture content of our lumber, the precision of our glue-ups, and the application of our 100% VOC-free finishes.
This vertical integration allows for direct quality control at every stage of production.
Builds at Any Scale
Our shop is set up to produce both one-off custom pieces and repeatable multi-unit runs without changing materials or standards. Whether a single residential tabletop or a full commercial order, each piece is milled, assembled, and finished using the same process and quality controls.
Multi-unit runs are sequenced and matched to maintain color, grain, and finish consistency across all pieces.
