Round Wood Table Tops

A round table is the most social piece of furniture there is — nobody sits at the head, everybody sees everybody. Ours are solid hardwood, CNC-cut to a true circle at any diameter, with your choice of edge profile shaped and sealed as part of the build.

From 30″ café two-tops to 72″ family rounds that seat eight, the Builder prices every diameter instantly. Restaurants order them in grain-matched sets; homes order them once and refinish them for generations.

Getting the Size Right

The seating math

Plan roughly 24″ of circumference per seat: 42–48″ seats four comfortably, 54–60″ seats six, and 72″ seats eight. Leave 36″ of clearance from table edge to wall for chairs to move. When in doubt between two sizes, take the larger — rounds feel smaller than their number.

Base and balance

Rounds pair naturally with pedestal bases — no legs to straddle. Match the base footprint to about two-thirds of the top diameter for stability, and step up to 1.75″ thickness on large rounds for the proportion. We can supply or fabricate a base to your top; contact us with the look you want.

For restaurants

Round two-tops and four-tops are hospitality staples — grain-matched across the run, sealed for nightly service, and delivered direct to site with trade pricing. Send your floor plan for a package quote.

Questions

Round Table FAQ

What buyers ask before ordering a round solid wood top.

What size round table seats 6 people?
A 54–60″ diameter seats six comfortably — 54″ if the room is tight, 60″ if you like elbow room. Eight wants 72″. The Builder prices any diameter instantly.
Can a round table have a live edge?
No — a circle has no natural tree line to keep, so rounds run straight-edged with your choice of our ten shaped profiles (a soft roundover is the round-table classic), included at no charge.
How are large rounds shipped?
Crated freight with lift-gate delivery, free in the continental US. Very large diameters can build as two book-matched halves with an alignment joint when a doorway demands it.
Do you make oval and racetrack tops too?
Yes — ovals, racetracks, and custom shapes are CNC-cut to your drawing. Request a quote with your dimensions and we’ll price it by hand within a business day.
Do you take on custom or one-off projects?
Yes. Beyond the online builder, we take on custom sizes, oversized pieces, matched commercial runs, and bespoke solid-hardwood millwork. Tell us what you have in mind and we’ll quote it by hand, usually within one business day. Start a custom project ›
