Wood Vanity Tops

Wood in the bathroom reads spa where stone reads showroom — and done right, it lives there happily. The trick is the build: closed-pore species, a fully sealed finish, and cutout edges sealed before the sink ever meets the top.

Every vanity top is milled to your exact cabinet, with undermount or vessel-sink openings CNC-cut to the template and faucet holes placed to your spec. White oak is the bathroom favorite — its closed, tylose-filled pores are built for humidity.

Water, Handled

Sealed everywhere it matters

The sink opening is where lesser wood tops fail — water wicking into a raw, hand-cut edge. Ours are CNC-cut before finishing and sealed inside the cutout with the same 100% VOC-free hardwax oil as the surface, so there is no raw edge for water to find.

Living with a wood vanity

Wipe standing water rather than leaving it pooled around the faucet, keep harsh cleaners off it, and the top wears like furniture. Years from now a water mark sands out and re-oils in place — try that with a laminate vanity.

Vessel sinks & floating vanities

Vessel sinks sit proud with a simple drain bore; floating vanity tops pair with our concealed bracket systems. Both price in the Builder — add the cutout and send your sink template after ordering.

Questions

Vanity Top FAQ

What buyers ask before putting wood in the bathroom.

Is a wood vanity top a bad idea around water?
Not built our way. The finish repels water, the cutout edges are sealed before finishing, and closed-pore species like white oak are naturally suited to humidity. Wipe up standing water and it lives beautifully for decades.
Undermount or vessel sink — which works better?
Both are fully supported. Undermount gives the clean counter sweep; vessel bowls need only a drain bore and show more wood. Either way the openings are CNC-cut to the template and sealed.
Which species is best for a bathroom?
White oak leads — dense and closed-pored. Walnut works beautifully in powder rooms and primary baths with normal ventilation. For teak-style water resistance without the teak price, Iroko — our outdoor-rated African hardwood — is the wet-room overachiever.
Can you match my vanity cabinet exactly?
To the sixteenth of an inch — that’s the whole model. Enter your exact dimensions in the Builder, add the sink cutout, and send the template after ordering.
Do you take on custom or one-off projects?
Yes. Beyond the online builder, we take on custom sizes, oversized pieces, matched commercial runs, and bespoke solid-hardwood millwork. Tell us what you have in mind and we’ll quote it by hand, usually within one business day. Start a custom project ›
