Ash and Walnut alternate strip for strip in the classic edge-grain butcher-block build — two solid hardwoods, equal parts, milled and glued on edge in our New York shop. The contrast between the woods is the color story, so every blend ships natural under a food-safe, zero-VOC hardwax oil; no stain is applied.
Each tabletop is made to order to your exact dimensions. Edge-grain construction is dense, stable, and workhorse-durable, the same build trusted in butcher blocks for generations, elevated by the two-species pattern into a genuine centerpiece.

How do I clean and maintain the finish?
Our tabletops are sealed with a premium, 100% VOC-free hardwax oil engineered for commercial-grade durability. The finish is highly resistant to spills, stains, moisture, and everyday chemicals, making it ideal for restaurants, cafés, offices, and busy homes. It provides a natural matte sheen that enhances the wood grain while protecting it for long-term use. Cleaning is simple: wipe with a mild soap-and-water solution or a gentle all-purpose cleaner. While the finish can handle regular commercial cleaning products, we recommend avoiding extremely harsh or abrasive chemicals to preserve the natural look of the wood. How long does a made-to-order piece take?
Each tabletop is handcrafted to order, with typical production times of 3–4 weeks, depending on size, species, and finish. If you have a project deadline or need expedited scheduling, please reach out through our Contact page.
How is it shipped and delivered?
We ship tabletops nationwide. Smaller pieces ship parcel, while larger dining or conference tops ship via freight. Every tabletop is professionally packaged and secured for safe transport. You’ll receive tracking details once your order has shipped.
What is C-channel reinforcement and do I need it?
For wider or longer tabletops, optional steel C-channel reinforcement can be added to the underside for increased stability and long-term flatness.
