When yours picks up a scratch, a dull spot, or everyday wear years from now, you do not need to refinish anything and you never need special equipment. Wipe the area clean, apply a thin coat of this oil with a cloth, wipe off the excess, and let it air dry for 6 to 12 hours. The repair blends invisibly into the surrounding finish because hardwax oil penetrates the wood instead of forming a film on top.
