Walnut Face Grain (Wide Plank) Countertop Details:
Walnut hardwood is dark, hard, dense and tight-grained. It's prized for its strength, grain and beautiful color. It polishes to a very smooth finish, and the color ranges from creamy white in the sapwood to a dark chocolate in the heartwood.
Face Grain or Wide Plank wood countertops are constructed by laying the lumber flat and joining the edges of each board. The surface has a wide grain pattern that shows the natural ovals and swirls of the wood.
These Walnut Face Grain countertops consist of random width boards that run the full length of the countertop.
Please note: Because they are made from real hardwood, each piece has its own unique character, grain and color may vary from the sample images shown.
We custom make each of our Walnut wood countertops specifically to your requirements at our New York wood product manufacturing facility.
About Our Finish:

The easily worked, close-grained wood of the black walnut has long been prized by furniture- and cabinetmakers for its attractive color and exceptional durability.
Black walnut’s large, fernlike foliage provides light, airy shade for those grasses and ground covers not affected by juglone. In autumn, the leaves turn bright yellow, contrasting nicely with the tree’s rugged, dark bark.
